Taxonomy: Polytypic. Subspecies are: decolorans, ziaratensis, caschmirensis, planorum, vauriei, stupae, mahrattarum, templorum, hainanus, ambiguus, sarawacensis, cinereus, minor, dageletensis, amamiensis, okinawae, nigriloris, tibetanus, commixtus, nubicolus.
Local Subspecies: minor
Size: 12.5 – 15 cm
Identification: Large tit with black head and white face patch. Pale yellow underparts with black ventral line down the middle. Upperparts yellowish-green, with greyish-blue tinge on wing coverts. Tail similarly greyish-blue.
Habitat: Forests, parks, secondary growth, shrub.
