An Introduction to Malayan Birds by Guy Madoc is a book with an extraordinary history - it was written in prison during World War II. In January 2025, Fenella Madoc, the daughter of Guy Madoc, shared her father's story as a prisoner of war in Changi Prison and how he was able to put together a book about birds in the most extreme of circumstances.
