Monthly Roundup: Aug 2025

Monthly Roundup: Aug 2025

August is when the first hints of migration start to pick up. This one had no major rarities but decent numbers of scarce migrants like Brown-streaked Flycatcher, and some of the rare terns.

Highlights

  • Common Terns on migration at Kusu Island
  • Little Grebe at Pulau Ubin
  • White-browed Crakes at Kranji Marshes, possibly a reliable location now for this scarce resident
