Breeds in the Malay Peninsula and Sumatra.

Identification

All black with a band of white along the greater coverts and tertials. Long, broad tail.

Habitat

Forest edge of mature or well-grown secondary growth.

Behaviour

Often found foraging at upper or mid-canopy level. Presence often given away by raucous, distinctive call.
