Range

Resident throughout Southeast Asia from Nepal and China down to Java and Borneo.

Identification

Small pale-legged warbler with a diagnostic yellow belly and olive-yellow upperparts. The head is grey with a white chin, supercilium and partial eye ring.

Habitat

Favours undergrowth in mature forests, particularly bamboos.

Behaviour

Feeds on small invertebrates mainly in the understory but may move up into the upper canopy to glean for insects. Occasionally forms small groups or joins mixed flocks.
